Brianna Owczarzak is a senior at Central Michigan University studying online journalism. She is graduating from CMU in May with a bachelor's degree. She currently writes for the style desk for Grand Central Magazine, where she covers various style trends on CMU's campus.

 

 During the summer of 2013 she interned at the Bay City Times. During her internship she covered general assignments including breaking news, features, briefs and community events.

 

From 2012 to 2013 she wrote for the university desk at Central Michigan Life, CMU's student-published newspaper. Brianna covered the Academic Senate meetings and other events that happened on campus.

 

Before she transferred to CMU in 2012, Brianna attended Delta College where she graduated in April 2012 with an associate's degree. While attending Delta she served as editor-in-chief of the Delta Collegiate, Delta's student-run newspaper, for one year. Before she was hired as editor-in-chief she served as news editor for one semester and reporter for two semesters.

 

Brianna enjoys writing, photography and creating videos. Her favorite assignments include multimedia feature pieces that tell people's stories using a variety of outlets. After graduation she hopes to get a position at a newspaper with an online presence, where she can utilize her multimedia skills.
